Guide to Luggage Storage and Coin-Operated Lockers Near Hotel Small World

When visiting Hiroshima, many people probably think, “I want to drop off my luggage before check-in so I can sightsee light and free,” or “I want to walk around Hiroshima without carrying my suitcase even after check-out.”

If you’re staying at Hotel Small World and would like to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out, please use the nearby coin-operated lockers or luggage storage services.

Located in downtown Hiroshima, Hotel Small World is surrounded not only by coin-operated lockers but also by stores—such as convenience stores and karaoke bars—that participate in the “ecbo cloak” service, where you can store your luggage.

In this article, we’ll introduce convenient luggage storage options near the hotel, including locations, fees, operating hours, and how to use them.

ecbo cloak | A service that lets you store your belongings at a store

First, I’d like to introduce “ecbo cloak.”

ecbo cloak is a luggage storage service that connects people who want to store their luggage with stores that have space to do so. Rather than placing your luggage in a dedicated locker like a coin locker, you can store it in a space at participating stores, such as convenience stores and karaoke venues.

It’s also convenient when “coin lockers are full” or “you want to store a large suitcase.”

〈How to Use ecbo cloak〉

It’s very easy to use.

① Search for a store where you’d like to leave your luggage using your smartphone

② Select the date, time, size, and number of items, then make a reservation

③ Take your luggage to the store where you made the reservation

④ Show the reservation screen to a staff member and leave your luggage

⑤ After sightseeing, pick up your luggage at the same store

ecbo cloak requires advance reservations and online payment. Payment is processed as soon as the reservation is completed, and prepayment by credit card is standard.

You can also use mobile payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, but in those cases, you must have a compatible payment method—such as a credit or debit card—registered. Please note that you cannot use the service if you have only registered a transit IC card.

Rates are generally 500 yen per day for a bag-sized item and 800 yen per day for a suitcase-sized item.

At standard locations, if your storage period spans the store’s business hours, it will be charged as two days. At 24-hour locations, if your storage period spans midnight (0:00), it will be charged as two days.

However, rates may vary slightly depending on the store or location, so please confirm the details when making your reservation.
